How We Serve
In our nation & world
"For God so loved the world..." (John 3:16)
We try to love the world too, by serving beyond our local community in our state, nation, and world.
Second Mile Giving: In addition to our regular weekly offerings, once a month we "go the extra mile" to contribute to hunger programs and a variety of ministries in our synod. The third Sunday of each month we take a Second Mile offering which is divided in thirds between Project Lazarus (feeding hungry people locally), ELCA World Hunger and a designated recipient such as Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary or Mount Cross Ministries.
Advocacy: On an ongoing basis, we partner with Lutheran-Episcopal Advocacy in Nevada to advocate for justice and peace and people in need.

Sister congregation: We are connected with a sister parish (group of congregations) in Rwanda, Africa, through mutual prayer support and sometimes, when there is a special need, financial support.
